Ferdinando Rossi was one of the pioneers in bringing the production of briar pipes to Italy, a contemporary of Achille Savinelli. And though the two were competitors in business, in their private lives they enjoyed a close friendship. So, it came to be that, just shy of a century after its founding, the Rossi family’s marque came into the care taking of Savinelli, after the former found itself unable to adapt to the changes in the post-WWII tobacconist market. This same old friendship is also one of the reasons why Savinelli has been keen to give the Rossi name new life, as Rossi by Savinelli, focusing on quality, affordable Italian pipes.

Meerschaum Servi Dublin Smooth
This Meerschaum Servi Dublin Smooth Pipe is a high-quality smoking pipe made from meerschaum; a lightweight, porous mineral prized for its ability to provide a cool, dry smoke. The "Servi" designation refers to Servi Meerschaum, a well-respected Turkish brand known for crafting premium meerschaum pipes. Presented in a felt-lined case.
Key Features:
- Material: This Meerschaum Servi Dublin Smooth Pipe is made from solid block meerschaum, which is carefully hand-carved and polished.
- Shape: Dublin, a classic pipe shape characterized by a slightly tapered, conical bowl that widens toward the top. This shape promotes an even burn.
- Finish: Smooth, meaning the bowl has been finely polished to a sleek, glossy surface that enhances the natural beauty of the meerschaum.
- Color: Typically starts as a creamy white and develops a rich patina over time as it absorbs oils and tars from smoking.
- Stem: Made from acrylic, with a comfortable bend design.
- Smoking Experience: Meerschaum is famous for its ability to absorb moisture and impurities, delivering a clean, flavorful smoke without the need for a break-in period.
This pipe is an excellent choice for both collectors and dedicated pipe smokers who appreciate the craftsmanship and performance of a fine meerschaum pipe.
Because each pipe is hand carved, the basic shape will be the same, but each pipe is not identical.

Meerschaum Servi Dublin Lattice
This Meerschaum Servi Dublin Lattice Pipe is a beautifully handcrafted smoking pipe made from premium Turkish meerschaum. It combines the elegant Dublin shape with a lattice-carved design, making it both visually striking and functional. Presented in a felt-lined case.
1. Material: Premium Turkish Meerschaum
- Meerschaum is a porous mineral that absorbs moisture and tars, ensuring a cool, dry smoking experience.
- Unlike briar pipes, it does not require a break-in period and does not ghost flavors, allowing you to switch between tobaccos freely.
2. Shape: Classic Dublin
- The Dublin shape features a bowl that slightly tapers outward from base to rim, allowing for an even burn and comfortable grip.
- The angled bowl directs heat away from the hand, making it pleasant to hold during long smokes.
3. Finish: Intricate Lattice Carving
- The lattice pattern is hand-carved, enhancing both aesthetics and function.
- The design increases surface area, allowing the pipe to develop a beautiful patina more quickly over time.
4. Stem: Acrylic or Vulcanite
- Fitted with a high-quality acrylic stem, ensuring durability and a comfortable mouthfeel.
- Often features a screw system for secure connection and easy removal.
5. Lightweight & Comfortable
- Due to meerschaum’s natural lightness, the pipe is easy to clench, making it great for long smoking sessions.
Because each pipe is hand carved, the basic shape will be the same, but each pipe is not identical.
- Length 5″
- Bowl Height 1 1/2″
- Bowl Width Outside 1 1/4″
- Bowl Width Inside 3/4″
